Why is the animacy of hawk (in Russian) given here as inanimate?

https://ru.wiktionary.org/wiki/%D1%8F%D1%81%D1%82%D1%80%D0%B5%D0%B1 lists it as animate, as does Google Translate's declensions.

It also makes sense for it to be animate on an intuitive level.

I am decidedly not a native speaker, to be clear, but between GT/general animacy /and/ the fact that the Russian Wiktionary has it different makes me decently of the opinion that something's going on that I don't understand and isn't represented here.
