- I found the word in Ukrainian (са́жалка (sážalka, “fish pond”)) and Belarusian (са́жалка (sážalka, “pond, fish pond”)). Can you verify whether the Yiddish word implies an artificial pond, specifically a fish pond, or whether it's more general? --WikiTiki89 20:57, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
- Well, it does seem to include fish ponds, but also larger lakes. I don't think it has a clear semantic zone, as far as I can tell. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 23:37, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
