Arabic definition needed

This article seriously needs a good definition for the Arabic source of the given Persian lemma. This is important because the same word is the source of the name "Sahel" for the southern "coast" of the Sahara, and "Swahili", the language name. Those words point here, but anybody who follows the etymology links will find a dead end. ACW (talk) 22:52, 15 January 2017 (UTC)
