SOP, "basket of the delete ones". — Fenakhay (تكلم معاي · ما ساهمت) 01:25, 21 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Fenakhay: Keep. Can reasonably be looked up. It is also peculiar that this is used mostly for computing, while e.g. سَلَّة مُهْمَلَات (salla(t) muhmalāt) is used expectedly for a physical basket (but also for computing); this part makes it idiomatic. Note also that the use of the term “basket” / سَلَّة (salla), not meaning a folder which it technically is, itself speaks for idiomaticity; one also says مِلَفّ المَحْذُوفَات (milaff al-maḥḏūfāt, trash directory, literally folder of the discarded), this is more SOP, but I wouldn’t bet that editors wouldn’t want to keep English trash directory. What is the criteria actually by which terms for physical and computral trash cans are kept? Meseems WT:FRIED. Not every can I put waste into is a rubbish bin or trash can, and “not every trash directory is a trash directory” thus. Fay Freak (talk) 22:07, 23 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
