Etymology[edit]

@Svartava I noticed the controversy previously, but decided not to participate as I have little knowledge on this myself and, while I'd rather not get involved with the whole debate, upon a further glance I do think it is quite unlikely as it stands. Is it not better to just explain that the etymology is disputed or unknown, as it is on Wikipedia, rather than endorse the references as fact? The theory itself has known to be an oral legend, and to pass that off as a fact, seems deceitful.

@Taimoorahmed11 yes, feel free to add ‘perhaps’, ‘possibly’ or something like that before the etymology.the references are of hindi, and sanskrit so yeah we cant take it to be 100% true. like many of these Sanskrit and hindi works (mostly the new ones) claim sanskrit as the mother of all languages which isnt true. you can add other theories, along with references and change the current etym. — Svārtava04:26, 8 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
