@Per utramque cavernam: Well, Hindi जंभ (jambh) does not appear to have an entry in our preferred dictionary {{R:hi:McGregor}} since it may not be common enough to deserve an entry, but it is in {{R:hi:Dasa}}, {{R:hi:Rajpal}}, and according to {{R:CDIAL}} जबड़ा (jabṛā) is from Sanskrit जम्भ (jámbha) (as jabhṛā, jābṛā).
