Mistranslation

Chinese and English Wiktionary treat 贖う and 購う as different words, but all Japanese sources I can find indicate that these are different ways to write the same word. I checked couple dictionaries, some agree with what you said and others treat them as different words. It's sort of like 掛ける and 賭ける, same pronunciation but different kanji represents different meaning, which in wiktionary it's also separate entries. I don't think any change is needed, though you can add "see also" to each entries to emphasize connections. Shen233 (talk) 13:27, 4 December 2023 (UTC)
