でない[edit]
The entry in the Koujien for でない appears to treat ではない as an alternative form of でない. である←→でない? —Suzukaze-c◇◇ 22:54, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
Yes. でない is the negative of である, as ない is of ある. ではない compounds で into では by adding the topic particle は, making it double as a topic.
