Zhanghou Pronunciation

I'm very dubious of the pronunciation in 闽南方言大词典 which says tiong-ng. In Yilan, it's tiong-uiⁿ, and it should be the same as Zhangzhou. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 14:01, 16 March 2018 (UTC)

@Mar vin kaiser: I think I know which song you're talking about. That song doesn't reflect actual Yilan pronunciation. It just plays with the shibboleth 食飯配滷卵, where ng in mainstream Taiwanese is pronounced as uiⁿ in the Yilan dialect. He extends it to words that don't actually have this correspondence, e.g. 糖 thn̂g, 腸 tn̂g, 湯 tng, 囥 kǹg, 燙 thǹg, 庄 tsng, and uses kūiⁿ for 縣, which would actually be pronounced koān in Yilan, just to rhyme. 劉福助 is not from Yilan, so his song is not a good source for Yilan pronunciation. — justin(r)leung _{{ (t...) | c=› }} 17:19, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
