@Koenfoo Interesting, which manga is this? And, even if a single author has revived it for fun, you don't see it anywhere else in modern life. —Suzukaze-c 04:58, 13 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi @Suzukaze-C. The manga title is 圕の大魔術師. But doesn't that rule out the term obsolete since it is still being used, even if it's rare. It's still quite handy in this case since the manga title name would be too long and won't fit that nicely on the cover page.Koenfoo (talk) 06:18, 13 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Koenfoo Personally I'm not convinced that this one instance lets us say that 圕 is still in use. For example, a single person actively preferring the spelling of Mahomet over Muhammad (or using it in a literary work for some special literary flavor?) does not cancel out the fact that Mahomet has an extremely archaic flavor and has been supplanted by Muhammad in the communication of most people. —Suzukaze-c 06:48, 13 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
Hi @Suzukaze-C. It doesn't say that it is obsolete in the Japanese wikitionary though.Koenfoo (talk) 08:37, 13 January 2020 (SGT)
(Chiming in...) I'd like to point out that the JA Wiktionary doesn't say a lot of things. Their coverage doesn't seem to be as extensive as ours, especially for those entries of ours that have been expanded in the past few years. ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │Tala við mig 18:24, 13 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
