Taiwanese Mandarin[edit]

@Justinrleung Is bō a common variant pronunciation in Taiwan? I seem to hear it at 0:05 of [1], 0:12 and 0:19 of [2], 0:04 of [3] and 0:07 and 0:12 of of [4]. RcAlex36 (talk) 10:20, 11 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

@RcAlex36: Maybe? I'm not really sure. (I'm not the best person to ask to distinguish T1 from T4.) — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 02:03, 12 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Justinrleung: I've confirmed with a person who has Taiwanese family members. I will add bō as a variant Taiwan pronunciation. RcAlex36 (talk) 02:08, 12 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Justinrleung: Where do we store the data for all these characters with different pronunciations? RcAlex36 (talk) 02:10, 12 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Justinrleung: This is from Kinmen, but still an interesting read. RcAlex36 (talk) 02:26, 12 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
@RcAlex36: Briefly skimmed, and yeah, I think I agree. These standards are annoying, but we still need to kind of document them :D — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 02:29, 12 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
