- At least "on paper" appears to be 生檨仔 for Taiwan, per “Entry #2028”, in 臺灣閩南語常用詞辭典 [Dictionary of Frequently-Used Taiwan Minnan] (overall work in Mandarin and Hokkien), Ministry of Education, R.O.C., 2023.. - I think it's a matter how you analyse 生檨仔. 闽方大 puts 檨仔 as meaning syphilis (noun) and lists 生檨仔 as an example (verb + object), while MOE analyses 生檨仔 as meaning the first stage of syphilis (noun). — justin(r)leung { (t...) | c=› } 08:30, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
