Xiamen[edit]

Hi @The dog2, what is your source for this pronunciation? — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 18:07, 22 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Justinrleung: It was on the web-site you e-mailed me. The dog2 (talk) 18:11, 22 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
@The dog2: I don't think the website owner is from Xiamen. There are three sources given there, and after checking 闽南方言俗语大词典 and 普通话闽南方言常用词典, I couldn't find this idiom. (I don't have access to the third source, but that should be a Taiwanese source.) It might match Xiamen, but I'm not sure if this is necessarily how it is said there. I found pek-liân sū-jîn and pek-liân chhiū-jîn in the Maryknoll Taiwanese dictionary. I will replace it with these for now. — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 18:19, 22 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
@The dog2: Actually I found it in 普通话闽南方言常用词典 under 树, and it gives pek-liân(nî)-sū-lîn (after converting to POJ). — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 18:22, 22 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
