@Crom daba: Is the Sogdian script in Unicode? According to Gharib, this word is attested in the Sogdian script, not Syriac. --Vahag (talk) 07:32, 11 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Vahagn Petrosyan: Retracing my steps, now I see that w:Sogdian_alphabet#In_Unicode confused me by mentioning Syriac Unicode inside an article about the Sogdian script. I figured that Sogdian script is supposed to be encoded in Unicode Syriac, but comparing Skjaervo now, I see that the added characters actually belong to Christian Sogdian/Syriac proper.
