- This term is labelled as Magadhi in section Β§310 of Pischel's grammar, appears in the two Maharastri texts mentioned by Sheth's dictionary and occurs in the Jain Maharastri text MaαΉipati-Carita. So, the lects for π«π’ππ£ (mattha) are Magadhi, Maharastri and Jain Maharastri. The lects for π«π’ππ£π¬ (matthaya) / π«π’ππ£π (matthaa) are Ardhamagadhi, Jain Maharashtri (Β§366a) and Sauraseni (Β§185). π«π’ππ£π (matthaga) is only Ardhamagadhi. π«π’ππ£ππ‘ (matthaeαΉa) is the singular instrumental of π«π’ππ£π¬ (matthaya) / π«π’ππ£π (matthaa) rather than π«π’ππ£ (mattha). - @Svartava: Since π«π’ππ£ is labelled as Magadhi in Pischel, should there be a Magadhi declension table as well, or is better to just have the Magadhi declension table at the expected form π«π°ππ’ (maΕta)? I donβt think matthaga appears in Pischel. I found that form in An Illustrated Ardha-Magadhi Dictionary, which needs a reference template. Kutchkutch (talk) 05:07, 21 May 2023 (UTC)

There are five volumes of that dictionary and multiple copies available of each volume, which is why there are so many results. π«π’ππ£π¬ (matthaya) and π«π’ππ£π (matthaga) are in volume IV, page 102. The fifth volume has the title The remaining part of Ardha-Magadhi quadrilingual dictionary, or, Maharashtri and Deshya Prakrit dictionary. Kutchkutch (talk) 05:46, 21 May 2023 (UTC)
- @Kutchkutch: Should there be separate templates for the five volumes like
{{R:pra:IAMD:1}}or should that be handled by a parameter only? Another problem I am facing with these is that there are multiple copies each having different publishing years. E.g. one Vol. IV copy shows 1932 while another Vol. V copy shows 1923. Svartava (talk) 05:50, 21 May 2023 (UTC)

- @Svartava: Whichever method is easier is fine. Since each volume may have a different publishing year and link to archive.org perhaps a separate template for each volume would be easier. It was originally published between 1923-1932. Kutchkutch (talk) 06:18, 21 May 2023 (UTC)
