- Delete the Kipling-specific sense; I don't think we want entries for every mononymic fictional character; compare Talk:Kaguya (about an individual real animal). If it's reasonably common as a name for a cat, I guess we could include that and mention Kipling in the etymology (unless it predates him), like we include given names (Matt, etc). - -sche (discuss) 01:12, 20 February 2022 (UTC)

- I've deleted the Kipling-specific sense, but added a sense a la
{{given name}}because it's a name various people give to their (various) cats. But maybe that too should be deleted; I know there are certain names we don't want to have, e.g. naming a dog Dog and a giraffe Giraffe, etc, and I think we decided nicknames were a can of worms, too.
