A long, intricate article on phonology is not a "key"[edit]

I think it's strange that the majority of the time, a pronunciation "key" in Wiktionary links to a complicated Wikipedia article on phonology for the respective language. I frequently have to do a web search in order to find a Wikipedia IPA key for the language in question, and often, I can't find a particular character in that key even though it's being used in the Wiktionary phonetics. I wish the pronunciations on Wiktionary could be made much more intelligible to the average user rather than being geared mostly to linguists. 24.187.44.167 19:31, 14 June 2023 (UTC)corphoReply
