Elbasan means "the conqueror of the land"
[edit]In Turkish, it also means: "I laid my hand upon"... but here, this is meaningless! In Turkish "el" (now, il) means: country, land, territory. And "Elbasan" means: the conqueror of the land, the one who conquered the region. Böri (talk) 16:24, 23 April 2019 (UTC)
