If the term 'far east' is racist. Then the words 'Middle East', and 'near east' are equally as racist. This can even be applied to the term 'the west'. This is oversensitive. East Asia is on the Far eastern side of the Eurasian continent. That's as racist as calling Europe 'The West'. It's a geographical term, it has nothing to do with race.

Illogical... "sounding the same" or "containing the same word" isn't enough to prove that two things are both racist or both not racist. Equinox 18:07, 2 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
