BroShep[edit]

Fails WT:FICTION.__Gamren (talk) 13:09, 21 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

WT:FICTION refers to "Terms originating in fictional universes". So if the terms are not used in-game but where elsewhere created by fans, WT:FICTION doesn't apply. Right? --93.221.43.105 14:44, 21 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Oh. I suppose you're right, that is indeed what it says.__Gamren (talk) 17:31, 21 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Struck as passing. (One of the BroShep quotes is mention not use, but there are more on Citations page.) DAVilla 21:13, 21 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

All of the featured cites for BroShep are uses. I imagine the one that might look like a mention at first glance is Scharr 2012. But the quotes around BroShep in that cite are just a stylistic choice by the author to indicate it's a fan nickname rather than an official character name. She's saying the box art for Mass Effect 3 featured images of both the male and female versions of the Commander Shepard character, not that it featured the words BroShep and FemShep. Not passing. The cites are referring to the game and the reactions of fans to the game, not to independent works of fiction. Kiwima (talk) 14:28, 28 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

RFV-passed I have decided to leave discussions of words referring to but not originating in fictional universes to an RFD discussion. This has definitely shown the existence of the words. Kiwima (talk) 22:46, 21 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
