Added by User:AztecWarrior28 last year, and tagged as a hot word by User:Einstein2; there were no attestations added at the time. I found one durably archived source: a scholarly article quoting anonymous Twitter users. There are likely others, but I'm not finding them. (There is also a 1957 letter to the editor in the New York Daily News, presumably about the "Asian flu" (H2N2 influenza) pandemic.) Cnilep (talk) 04:50, 12 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

I changed the definition to, "An epidemic of influenza or other illness associated with China or Asia," which is attested by combining the 1950s and 2020s uses. I am now satisified that the word is verified, but I'll leave this request up for now in case anyone objects to my changes or has other suggestions. Cnilep (talk) 23:39, 12 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
