Another slang sense in Hotten[edit]
Hotten also defines "Jerry" (not sure about capitalisation) as a watch (the timepiece) and says that "Jerry nicking" or "Jerry sneaking" is watch-stealing, and a "Jerry Sneak" can also be a stealer of watches. I can't find anything much on this outside of old slang dictionaries. Equinox ◑ 22:21, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
