Talk:Jersey girl

The space should not be literally a %20 in the page name! It's encoded as %2520, so it really is a literal %20 not a display problem.

Someone with authority rename it?

Needs a better definition, too. Where is "Jersey"? Since there is a place called New Jersey here in the US, I suppose it's a place-name from the "old world".

I've revised this definition, but it needs more work. (I've also deleted the page that had the %20 in it.)
I've changed "Jersey" to "New Jersey" because Jersey is an island the British Isles, and I'm sure this is not what is intended. "Jersey" is used colloquially in the US to mean the state of New Jersey.
What sort of earrings and make-up are we talking about? Most women wear these without being called Jersey girls.
"Big hair" is slang - can we have a standard English alternative in the definition?

Big hair is slang? It seems rather straightforward. —Muke Tever 19:56, 10 Jun 2004 (UTC)
"big hair" is definitely slang. I never heard it until Seinfeld started using it to make fun of '80s hairstyles — as far as I know this is its usual use. It's funny! — Hippietrail 22:38, 10 Jun 2004 (UTC)
