Talk:Jr.

only for sons?[edit]
while it's rare in Western culture to name a daughter for her mother, it does happen. Can Jr. also describe them? I found on Reddit that women traditionally married at a young age, and therefore acquired new surnames, meaning that they did not need the Jr. suffix to distinguish them from their mothers. But early marriage is less common nowadays. —Soap— 21:17, 22 February 2024 (UTC)
