This is a dictionary. Why are we using a euphemism of a word?[edit]

How is this entry actually called "N-word pass"? This is a dictionary. Words should be available without being censored. This is a dictionary.

I mean... "nigga" and "nigger" are both already mentioned in the definition in this very entry! And, "nigga" and "nigger" both have their own entries on this very website! So pardon me if I'm a little confused by this silliness, but what the heck?

It's funny, because this is the "nigga pass" page on this site, yet not one place the actual entry tab does it say "nigga pass". Can we be adults about this and just spell the word correctly, or naw? Jdjd021 (talk) 10:07, 9 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Jdjd021 if you take a look at the quotations, you can see that multiple news sites have called it an "N-word pass". Since Wiktionary is descriptivist, we have to follow actual usage rather than trying to "correct" or "un-censor" what other people have written. If you can find a few sources using the term nigga pass we'll be able to create an entry for it (have a look at WT:CFI). Ioaxxere (talk) 13:33, 9 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
