Chambers 1908 has Portulaceae (and see portulaceous): this seems to be an obsolete name for the same thing. Equinox ◑ 19:14, 19 July 2018 (UTC)

I imagine it was originally a misspelling based on visual haplology that caught on to some degree. It is mostly obsolete, but BGC provides some occasional, more recent use. —Μετάknowledge^{discuss/deeds} 19:20, 19 July 2018 (UTC)
