I cannot find the archives for the RfV discussion ( or it would take too much time) but Sampson appears in the Wycliffe Version (Judges 16 etc) and it is a well attested given name.--Makaokalani 13:14, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

- Things which needs to be cleaned up:
- Moving the Middle English quote into an Middle English entry.
- Things which maybe have to be done as well:
- Correcting the quote (as sometimes Middle English quotes are brought into an English shape which makes the quote incorrect).
- Improving the English term's etymology section (the English term coming from Middle English and not from Old French) or definition (for example, the examples above aren't from the Wycliffe Bible, so the term is used elsewhere as well)
- Optionally doing a small check for the English term's existence, which might be good enough or indicate that a real verification is needed.
