Not used in chemistry[edit]

Allotropous is used in the disciplines of entymology and botony with different, but related meanings. Does anyone know which came first? In chemistry, the adjective allotropic is used almost exclusively. There is only one use of allotropous as a synonym for allotropic in Google Books. This is in the 2006 Journal of Practical Medicine and Surgery and appears to be minor slip by surgeon who remembered his biology training better than his chemistry.
