An apocolpium is different from an apocolpial field, although they are similar (the illustration in the linked glossary is helpful). I'm not sure if the adjective "apocolpial" always refers to that specific geometry, or can be used more generally, though. For example: "The diameter of the apocolpial area between the apices of the colpi also varies among taxa." [1] (referring to mints), this seems to be using it in a way similar to apocolpium, and I can't find anything saying Lamiaceae are parasyncolpate.
