Ji/Ma Class?[edit]

The National Swahili Council of Tanzania is called "Baraza la Kiswahili la Taifa". The fact that the most official Swahili-language organization uses "la" instead of "ya" seems to indicate that Baraza is in the Ji/Ma class. Of course, it is often confused with the N class, however it seems that the Ji/Ma conjugation is the preferred one.

Thanks for pointing this out. Madan puts it in class 9, so perhaps something has changed, but I wrote a usage note to reflect current usage. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 22:44, 11 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
