Rukai: from Japanese[edit]

@Mar vin kaiser ばらばらにく (ja.wp) "rib meat"? —Suzukaze-c (talk) 00:03, 31 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Suzukaze-c: All etymologies of Japanese origin added to Taiwanese aboriginal words, berebere, cengelraw, cekeraw, calrathay, mikalsong, and sega, are all from the Taiwan Ministry of Education. They have an online dictionary in Chinese, and these words indicate a Japanese origin. Most of those words, I know what Japanese word they come from since I know Japanese, but the others, I couldn't pinpoint the exact word origin. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 04:24, 31 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
Do you have a link to the dictionary? I could only find https://e-dictionary.ilrdf.org.tw/dru/terms/220777.htm sourced to "線上詞典", and with no "日" in sight.
And sourcing is still important, since this isn't original research or knowledge of any kind, relying entirely on another work. —Suzukaze-c (talk) 04:28, 31 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
