The word Boycott was introduced into the English Language by Charles Cunningham Boycott (1832-1897. His involvement in the Irish 'troubles' of the mid 19th Century resulted in the introduction to the English Language the word 'Boycott' He is buried in the grave yard of St. Mary's Church, Burgh St Peter, Norfolk.
