@Vorziblix, This, that and the other: I recreated the page with an entry for Old Spanish carcelage m (from Medieval Latin carcelāgiumcarcerārium n); both it and its etymon have the sense that had been given for the erstwhile English word. I found no sign anywhere for any form of the alleged Latin *carcelladium that doesn't derive from {{Webster 1913}}, so I assume he made it up. I found no evidence of use of English *carcelage. It would be useful to have a translation table to which to add Latin carcerārium and Old Spanish carcelage, but *carcelage can't be it. 0DF (talk) 15:44, 13 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
