@Jberkel: I wonder whether we shouldn't add a second sense. The current definition seems to describe a certain type of story, a literary genre if you will, and that's what the first two French translations (fable, conte moral) correspond to. But in most contexts that's not how I would translate it into French; I would use avertissement, leçon instead, and it doesn't make sense to me to have all these translations on the same line. Other dictionaries don't seem to make a distinction though. What do you think? PUC16:16, 13 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

@PUC: I was thinking the same, alternatively we could slightly reword and extend the definition: "originally in folklore", "in contemporary usage" etc. – Jberkel 16:41, 13 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
