Please correct[edit]

Please correct this entry: chinchayote refers to the edible tuber of the chayote plant, which is eaten as a root vegetable in Mexico. 173.88.246.138 04:12, 24 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Done. I noticed that you flagged it for attention as Spanish, but this is an English entry- we didn't have a Spanish entry for this yet. Since the word is grammatically the same as Spanish chayote and there was an entry for it at DRAE, it was straightforward enough for me to create one. I'm not sure why we have Classical Nahuatl chayohtli and DRAE has Nahuatl chayutli as the source for Spanish chayote, but I'll let someone else worry about that.
