I've put all the citations I could find here. It's definitely a French word, but the three English citations support three different, not easily combined meanings... - -sche (discuss) 21:01, 28 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

I added some Usent citations for the first definition. The second definition is just odd, I think, and the third is probably pretty rare. I don't see any guidelines for citing Usenet, so I did what seemed reasonable. Are there any guidelines? --BB12 (talk) 22:09, 28 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
Ruakh uses and I've adopted the format you can see at [[rainburn]], but it's not formal policy (background). Your format covers all of the important info (date, username, and — in the link URL — the newsgroup). - -sche (discuss) 00:23, 29 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
Thank you so much! That's been driving me crazy. I added that to Wiktionary:Quotations#Between_the_definitions (I think that section header needs replacing) and added a link from Wiktionary:Citations so people can find it. --BB12 (talk) 06:21, 29 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
