This is the relevant text from the first link: “De albe die de priester droeg, verschilde in niets van het camisium of onderkleed, hetwelk men gewoon was ’s nachts aan te houden, nadat men zijne bovenkleederen had afgelegd. Evenals tegenwoordig werd dit om het middel opgehouden door een koord of cingel.” I think that in this sense it derives directly from (Ecclesiastical) Latin cingulum, without a French intermediate.  --Lambiam 21:42, 3 November 2020 (UTC)
