Notes for Italiot-Greek etymology/script[edit]

Curious about etymology for 'citro' for ice; if no etymology, if a source can be located, that would be excellent (it clashes a lot with the Greek + Romance generally understood connection w/ citrus)

If current assumptions hold for both pronunciation and spelling (β = v, c = κ, τ = (sometimes) d, no breathing marks), then a possible Greek script rendering is κιτρο - however, without a pronunciation guide, κιτρω is just as likely.
