This word was unilaterally changed to Scots by an IP. This, that and the other (talk) 01:06, 12 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

It almost certainly counts as both Scots and Scottish English as it’s easy to find many examples on GoogleBooks where it is used in sentences where every other word is standard English not Scots but also in sentences where it’s used in combination with many other Scottish (and arguably Scots) words. There’s a book about Scots which claims that cludgie started as a Scots word in Glasgow but had spread to Edinburgh and Fife by the mid-70s where it supplanted the local Scots word yuffie [1]. In fact we already have an unchallenged English entry for cludge with the same meaning (oddly with a cite of a use of this word by Caitlin Moran, who grew up in Wolverhampton not Scotland), so I see no reason why we should doubt the fact that cludgie exists in English.
