BBC jargon for vetting[edit]

Is this use of the word as a verb at the BBC worthy of a new definition here?

Surely if ‘doing college’ or ‘doing the formalities’ means ‘doing vetting’ then this is a noun not a verb, they don’t ‘do colleging’ when they ‘do vetting’. It might be worthy of inclusion as an alternative sense though, at least on Citations:college. — This unsigned comment was added by Overlordnat1 (talkcontribs) at 08:21, 26 August 2022 (UTC).Reply
