I think it is worth noting that a b.g.c. search doesn't show many uses but shows quite a few style-guide proscriptions. I did see a valid-looking adjective use from 1891, but we don't give any definition for that. --Connel MacKenzie 21:37, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

That adjective-looking cite is a mistake on b.g.c.'s part — a scanno, I guess, but not how I usually think of scannos — it results from the cutting off of the leftmost several-characters'-width. (b.g.c. got "conversate" from "convers[hyphen][linebreak]ation; the politics" by losing the "ation; th" part.) —Ruakh_TALK 01:04, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
