Definition 6 of Etymology 2[edit]

I think it might be helpful if some more info or context could be given; as well as replacing "lord of the soil" with a synonymous, less obscure term. ZFT (talk) 03:31, 16 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

A "cope" (noun) appears to be a coping strategy among incels: anything they do to deal with their dislike of being single. Easily found in use on Reddit, probably not meeting our CFI though. Equinox 03:03, 28 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

While I would say it is used especially to describe incels, it's commonly used a general dysphemism to the term coping mechanism; otherwise used as banterful jest. Mindwitherlesstress (talk) 15:36, 15 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Done Yes, we have had this sense for a while now; my comment above was from 2019. Equinox 15:37, 15 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
