Re being worn by men as well as women[edit]

Moved from "usage notes" (since it wasn't about the usage of the term): "Use by men is clearly shown in the Great Tournament Roll of Westminster (dated 1511 and in the care of the Library of the College of Arms), in which many of the Royal Household senior male servants are depicted wearing crespines of gilt mesh/netting."
