Species names as Derived terms[edit]

If we adhere to the notion that species names are Latin, which we must for the species epithets to be taken as Latin words, then species names are derived terms in Latin. They just happen to be used in many languages, which is why we treat them as Translingual. DCDuring TALK 05:18, 4 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
