- @Mlgc1998: Also, that wouldn't be the etymology of "dalubhasa", but the prefix. So it shouldn't be there. As far as I know, it's a Maugnaying coinage. That prefix. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 13:35, 1 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Mar vin kaiser yeah, it's one of those neologisms from recent decades or last century. I was saying they likely thought of it that way because they reinterpreted the last two syllables as coming from hasa, which has the same pronunciation and later, the definition "(figuratively) practice; training (for experience)" got added to hasa due to the association with bihasa and dalubhasa Mlgc1998 (talk) 13:40, 1 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Mlgc1998: That should be moved in the entry for "dalub-", not "dalubhasa". And you should probably add words that indicate that's it's our guess, like "likely" or "probably", words like that. --Mar vin kaiser (talk) 13:42, 1 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Mlgc1998 @Mar vin kaiser or maybe just a syncope since the stress is at dalu baHAsa, and syncopes usually happen at the syllable before the stress. It's even done for halga = halaga at Maugnayin. Obsolete Definitions[edit]
@Ysrael214 Where'd you get the obsolete definitions? I tried looking at Vocabulario and found "dalobasa" (see "dulubasa") but "dulubasa" was missing, but I did find "dolobaca" meaning "glosar las palabras". Mar vin kaiser (talk) 14:23, 4 October 2022 (UTC)
