Sense 1: "More formal or stronger word for want." Sense 3: "Another word for want, connoting emotion." These definitions are terrible: "desire" doesn't mean "another word for want", it is another word for "want", just as "cat" doesn't mean "noun", it is a noun. - I don't think "another word for" is wrong so much as much it's pointless and bad style. It would be like starting definitions with "defined as" or "may be defined as". Mglovesfun (talk) 01:05, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
