The Discord online chat system uses a numeric suffix to distinguish different users with the same nickname (so you might have bobsmith#0014 and bobsmith#3992, and so on). They call it a discriminator. Currently no other service uses this term, as far as I know, but perhaps some day. Equinox ◑ 00:12, 9 May 2021 (UTC)
