I think this may be an earlier use of the phrase but I'm not sure if the "rites" at the end of the quoted passage changes it or not:

Because it was used in the UK but not the US (perhaps), that would explain it. Maybe change to "India, dated in UK"? Equinox 17:01, 16 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
