I am quite sure that word "dušman" is not Ottoman Turkish derivation as it has clear Proto-Indo European origin. Word is known in Iranian much before Ottoman conquests of Balkan, even in Sanskrit (dur-mánman) and Ancient Greek δυσ-. — This unsigned comment was added by 212.69.5.228 (talk).

Nowhere does it on the page say that it was "derived" from Ottoman Turkish. It was however through Ottoman Turkish that the word was passed onto Serbo-Croatian. --Dijan 01:17, 31 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
