Duellist?[edit]
Trawling Google Books, I find that
- 1. There are more results returned for "duellist" than for "duelist".
- 2. In general, though by no means exclusively, the results for the single "l" are more recent and/or American rather than British.
Merriam-Webster online lists both spellings. It's an interesting contrast to "dualism". NickS 15:43, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
